Welcome, for over 25 years Foxboro Cable Access (FCA) has provided an opportunity for Foxboro residents to produce local television programs for the Foxborough community. Our non-profit corporation is responsible for three cable TV channels on Comcast cable in Foxborough. Interested residents are encouraged to contact us to learn more about how you can get involved. FCA volunteers produce many different types of programs, including: Church Services, Local Sports, Community Events, Local Music, Local Talk Shows, Foxborough Historical Society, Public Forums, and Government Meetings.

All Landing Opportunities for Saturday Waved Off

Entry Flight Director Norm knight just informed the crew of Atlantis that they are waving off all landing opportunities for today, Saturday. The first opportunity Sunday calls for deorbit burn at 8:58am and landing at KSC at 10:11am. There is also a landing opportunity at Edwards in CA on that same orbit at 11:40am ET.
If needed, Atlantis could stay on orbit until Monday, but they will land tomorrow at either KSC or Edwards.

NASA waves off Saturday's first landing opportunity
The STS-125 crew was given the go to put on their launch and entry suits early this morning but Entry Flight Director Norm Night waved off Atlantis's first landing opportunity because of persistent bad weather at Cape Canaveral. Currently, Mission Control is weighing options and continuing to monitor weather for the second of 5 addtional landing opportunities for today. The next is at Edwards AF Base in CA at 10:45am or at KSC at 10:54am.

NASA waves off final landing attempt for today

STS-125 Entry Flight Director Norm Knight has waved off today's second landing attempt at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the final chance to land today as weather conditions at Kennedy would not permit a safe landing. CAPCOM Greg Johnson informed shuttle Commander Scott Altman and his crew that deorbit burn and landing is officially "no go" due to thunderstorms, low cloud ceilings and showers at the shuttle landing facility.
Tomorrow, the first landing opportunity at Kennedy Space Center is at 9:16 a.m. Edwards Air Force Base in California will be activated for consideration as well. Stay tuned for updates and a Mission Briefing later today on NASA TV.

The team at mission control in Houston will evaluate weather conditions at Kennedy before giving a "go" to Atlantis and its crew for deorbit burn at 8:01 am and landing at 9:15 a.m. Saturday. A second Kennedy landing opportunity comes at 10:54 a.m, with two additional landing times at Edwards Air Force Base in California at 10:46 a.m. and 12:24 p.m. Weather is currently favorable for an landing at Edwards Air Force Base in CA.

UPDATE: STS-125 Entry Flight Director Norm Knight has waved off today's first landing attempt at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Weather continues to be a concern as they prepare for the second opportunity at 11:39 a.m. EDT. This is the only other landing opportunity for today.
There are four landing opportunities on Satruday for Atlantis with two at Kennedy and two at Edwards Air Force Base in CA.

Board of Selectmen Reorganization
On Tuesday May 12th, the Foxborough Board of Selectmen met for the first time since town elections on May 4th. Newly elected members Larry Harrington and Lorraine Brue participated in their first meeting where the board conducted a reorganization.
Foxboro Cable Access airs all regular Board of Selectmen Meetings live on channel 22. Meetings are also repeated Fridays at 4pm and Saturdays at Noon. Sundays at 8am & 4pm

Atlantis to "grab" Hubble today

Shuttle Crew to Grapple Telescope
Space shuttle Atlantis will meet up with the Hubble Space Telescope today. The actual grapple of the telescope using the shuttle’s robotic arm is scheduled for 12:54 p.m. EDT as Atlantis soars 340 statute miles above the northeast coast of Madagascar. The telescope will be latched to a high-tech, “lazy Susan” device known as the Flight Support System for the duration of the servicing work.
