Construction of the new FCA studio and offices at 28 Central is nearly complete, and
residents and friends are invited to see the progress on Founders’ Day from 3-5 pm.
This final phase of renovation includes a large studio space, conference room, prop
equipment storage areas, edit room with sound booth, and new rest rooms and kitchenette
facilities. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about FCA operations, and how
the new spaces will be used, and light refreshments will be served.
We have already taped two programs in the spacious new studio. Charlie Masison
interviewed six graduating seniors from FHS and their Guidance Counselor for his Behind
the Scenes show last week, and Vicki Lowe taped an episode of Your Scene, Your
Center. Crew members agreed that the productions went well, and were easy to set up,
especially using the new lighting grid. The open front window design is an exciting feature
that allows passers-by to view the activity in the studio as it is happening.
The Open House will also be an opportunity for interested residents to learn about
training opportunities that FCA offers at no charge. There are many ways that people can
volunteer at Foxboro Cable Access, and we welcome all ages and interests. For more
information, please contact Executive Director Michael Webber at 508-543-4757, or stop
by anytime during regular business hours: M-F from 9:30 to 5 pm.
