The Neponset River Watershed Association (NepRWA), in collaboration with a remarkable coalition of partners, is excited to announce the return of the Neponset River Spring Cleanup, set for Saturday, April 20th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at various cleanup sites, including Canton, Dorchester, Hyde Park, Milton, Norwood, and Quincy.
We invite volunteers of all ages and skill levels to participate in this meaningful and important event. The cleanup involves a variety of tasks for diverse abilities. Children under 15 are welcome, but we ask that they be accompanied by an adult.
Pre-registration is appreciated for planning purposes. During registration, you’ll have the opportunity to select your preferred cleanup site. We will provide essential equipment on-site, including trash bags, gloves, tools, and waders.
“The cleanup not only helps to get more people on the River but protects the space for wildlife and ensures a beautiful and safe Neponset for all,” said Benni Marques, NepRWA Environmental Science Fellow and cleanup organizer, “It’s important that we protect and clean up the River so that everyone can enjoy it.”
