Community Press Release
Defensive Lineman Keionta Davis and Defensive End Derek Rivers mingled with approximately 250 volunteers in Foxboro on Saturday, April 27.
Foxboro is now 3 tons lighter of trash following the efforts of approximately 250 volunteers at the seventh annual Clean Up Foxboro Day on Saturday, April 27.
The town-wide cleanup also drew the support of many local businesses, including The Kraft Group, New England Patriots and Patriot Place. Patriots players Keionta Davis and Derek Rivers stopped by the event to thank the hundreds of volunteers and autograph Super Bowl LIII Champion team photos. Davis and Rivers also helped event organizers announce the raffle winners for Red Sox and Patriots game tickets and an autographed Rob Gronkowski football, donated by The Kraft Group.
“It is important to be in the community and show support for volunteer initiatives like Clean Up Day,” said Davis. “It’s great to see so many volunteers take time out of their weekend to pick up trash and make their community better.”
Said Rivers: “This is the perfect type of Earth Day event and it is wonderful to see so many people putting their words into action and volunteering their time for something like this. It was important to us to be able to come out and thank each and every one of these volunteers for their efforts and show our support for the cause.”
