Community Press Release
The return of The Sage School 5K Race Event offers participants the opportunity to donate much-needed items to The Foxboro Food Pantry and Soles4Souls, an organization aiding people nationally and abroad.
On Saturday, May 18, at 9 a.m., we will host The Sage School 5K Race Event, which will see runners race around the streets of Foxboro. But the day is about more than just the love of the sport. We are honored to invite you to watch and share the story of our school and its community as we support our neighbors locally and around the world.
With the help of our community service club, Service at Sage, 5K participants and spectators will be able to donate toiletries like toothbrushes, soap, and shampoo to The Foxboro Food Pantry at a drop-box conveniently located on campus.
“The Discretionary Fund is enormously grateful for the outpouring of support from the Sage community throughout the years, most recently with our toiletries drive. We are in need these items, all of which are greatly appreciated by our recipients, to ensure our shelves are stocked.” said Lisa Downs, of the Foxboro Discretionary fund.
Furthermore, Sage will be teaming up with the non-profit organization Soles4Souls, with a separate drop-box to accept new and gently used shoe donations. The group uses shoes to assist and empower individuals in need all across the globe.
The 5K route promises to be a rewarding run, kicking off at Sage and weaving through local neighborhoods before circling back. Children will also be able to join the excitement with a fun run on campus, and our younger racers will receive prizes. Find more information about The Sage School 5K Race Event here.
“Our 5K Race isn’t just about running—it’s a chance for our community to come together. By giving our Sage families the chance to participate in community service, we’re empowering each other to make a difference,” said Amy Deniger from Sage’s Development Office.
